Postdoctoral Fellowships
We are seeking new graduates (Ph.D., M.D.) interested in studying basic biology of the pulmonary system in the context of lung development and disease. Individuals will be fostered towards an independent research career in the field of pulmonary biology and gain rigorous training in molecular biology, including state-of-the-art technologies such as conditional gene targeting and expression profiling. Acquisition of external funding (training grant, fellowship) will be highly encouraged. Applicants interested and/or experienced in the following subjects are particularly encouraged; regulation of extracellular matrix production/degradation, PPARgamma/steroid hormone nuclear receptor biology, pulmonary epithelial cell biology/differentiation, pulmonary surfactant metabolism/production/recycling, regulation of pulmonary mucous production, and planarian (C. Elegans) biology. |
